Rachel is 19 months old!

After the flood of words that poured out her mouth last month. Rachel is now repeating what she hears. She is talking up a storm! Just yesterday at Publix she signed boo-boo, said it, then demanded “kiss” on her little finger. No boo-boo in sight though!

Pow! 18 months old! and now Rachel is rattling off a bunch of words. Here are some of her favorites:

Baby
Mama
Dada
up
more

She loves to sign, loves to dance, loves to run and swing and bounce on everything! Gymnastics has taught her that she can swing like a monkey. And swimming has made her into a mermaid!

So our little darling Rachel is entering that marvelous toddler stage. She is spinning in circles until she drops, and then cracks up because she is dizzy. She is shaking her head no, no, no, mommy, only to eventually give in to my need to dress her, change her, or spare her from peril.

Now, classicaly, Rachel is covering her face and then saying BOO! Sometimes she gets the timing wrong, and boo, comes out before her hands are on her face, and man is it cute!

I can do it!

Since Hannah was born Nana has come over everyday to help me with the girls and the house. Well, yesterday and today, I gave up my security blanket and braved this new world on my own. And I did it!

We visited Rachel’s little buddy Nolan way out at Madeira Beach on Tuesday. Hannah was an angel, just sleeping and eating like she’s supposed to do. Rachel was impressed with Nolan’s race car, and other matchbox cars, and had a ball. She even ate a whole bowl of Easy Mac at Nolan’s little table. Thanks for having us Shawna!

Today we went to see Dr. Bilella, all by ourselves. Now Rachel thinks this is playtime since we just went there with Hannah and they have so many toys she likes! We were behind on our shots, so Rachel had no idea what was coming! But she recovered in moments after getting three of them, two in each arm, and one in the leg. Poor thing.

Baby Hannah is born! March 1st!

Well Hannah conveniently chose to be a weekend birth. I had some contractions on Friday and then Saturday morning I had contractions throughout the night, so, when morning came, and Sean and I had had our coffee, we set off to the hospital. They moved us along just perfectly until I pushed a couple of times and she just popped out of me! Amazing!
